Stromboli Dinner (fundraiser)

The annual Stromboli dinner to benefit Princeton Bands will occur Saturday, January 21st in the Middle School Cafeteria.

We will be serving from 5 to 7:00pm.

Dinner (sandwich, chips, drink and a dessert) is $7.00 and sandwiches only are $5.00.

We hope to see you there!

Marching Band Appreciation Cookout Oct 21st

We will be holding a cookout on Friday evening, October 21st, in appreciation of all current marching band members. All 2011 marching band members and their families are invited to attend.

Time: 7 – 10pm – ish
Location: Allison May’s house (1570 S 250 W, Princeton, IN 47670)

For GPS Users, the Lat/long coordinates are 38.333451, -87.61264.

We will have hot dogs, drinks and smores. Please bring a bag of chips to share and also a lawn chair.

We will have our first annual Pound the Props as well as our 2nd annual Tuba Toss.

As of now, Dude, I’m Amish is also scheduled to perform. (to be confirmed)

Stacy will have her crazy awards and we will also have some more items for the seniors that night as well!

We hope everyone can attend and look forward to seeing you there.

People will be coming from different directions so it is hard to give precise directions here, but in general:
From US41

Turn West at Co Rd 50 S / White Church Road
Continue Along White Church Road
When you come to the 4-way stop at the White Church, go straight. Do not veer right toward the cemetery. The White Church should be on your right and a Brown house will be on your left as you pass through the 4-Way Stop.
Travel approximately .7 miles. The house will be on your left. It will be lighted and marked.

Please see below if you are driving to regionals for some last-minute info about parking and traffic around Center Grove High School

Any times listed here are Eastern time

Tickets

Gates will open at 10:00 a.m. Spectator tickets will be available at the two gates behind the home bleachers (west side of the stadium). Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for students and pre‐school students. Bus Drivers
will receive a meal ticket for a sandwich and drink in your director’s packet (no designated hospitality area).

Spectator Parking

Handicapped parking will be in the parking lot south of the high school. The closest Spectator parking is south of the former Maple Grove Elementary (2911 S. Morgantown Greenwood, IN on your GPS), which is south of the
high school. Enter from Morgantown Road. Parking will be marked, and a volunteer will be available to help direct. Overflow parking is located at Middle School Central/ Center Grove Elementary (2455 S. Morgantown
Greenwood, IN on your GPS) which is north of the high school. This is to help with families coming in separate vehicles that want to park in the same area and for efficient exiting after the awards. To see an overview map of parking locations, please visit this link. Map of Parking

Important Traffic Restriction:

While you may turn onto Stones Crossing from SR‐37 going either direction, you cannot turn left (South) onto SR‐37 from Stones Crossing. To get back to SR‐37 South – go South on Morgantown Road to SR‐144 (2.1 miles),
then right (west) on SR‐144 to SR‐37.

If you look at the map linked above, we will be entering on Stones Crossing from the left. To exit, you will take Stones Crossing and go right on the map to Morgantown Road. Turn right on Morgantown for a couple of miles and you will hit SR144. Turn right and shortly, you will hit SR37. Make a left and you are back on your way to Princeton.

If you are not familiar with the area and have any questions, please ask Jeff or Amber May and we can help. We used to live in that general area and know it well.

Fan Bus Update

The fan bus is now full. We will have a list of everyone who has signed up with the driver, so please check-in as you get there. We will be sending an email to those who have signed up with details, so check your emails. If you want to confirm we have you, then leave a comment here or send an email to boosters@princetonbands.com If you have signed up and your plans have changed or do change before Saturday, please let us know so someone else can ride, if needed.

Marching Tigers…On The Road

Our goal this week:

HIT 60!!!

SCHEDULE:
7:00am Report to band room for rehearsal
8:30 Load equipment.
9:00 Load buses
9:15 Leave for Mount Vernon
10:00 Arrive at MVHS
11:00 Be dressed and assemble for warm up/march to warm up
11:20 Warm up

12:00 Performance
12:15pm Change out of uniform/load equipment
1:45 Awards
2:15 Load buses
2:30 Leave for PCHS
3:45 Arrive at PCHS – change/unload all equipment

No one is dismissed until ALL equipment is unloaded and all buses are clean.

If you will be traveling from the event other than by school bus, I must have a note from a parent and they must be present for your dismissal. You may not leave with anyone other than your parental unit. NO EXCEPTIONS!!! School liability will permit nothing less.

A Medley of Messages

We have several little tidbits to pass on to you today.

First up is Mr Hyneman’s band, Twotone Express. They are playing at the Evansville West Side Nut Club Fall Festival Friday from 8pm to 11 pm and EVERYONE IS INVITED!

Next, the schedule for next week. We’ll have a FULL BAND PRACTICE on the following days:

Monday, Oct 10 6-9 pm

Tuesday, Oct 11 6-9 pm

Thursday, Oct 13 6-9 pm

Friday, Oct 14 is fall break. We will rehearse on Friday, 1pm – 4pm. We’ll break for dinner (provided by boosters) and then be dressed for the ballgame/senior night by 6pm.

There will also be a Booster meeting on the 11th at 6:30pm in (or around) the band room.

Our last exciting bit of news is regarding Regionals. Mr. Hauger has generously offered to take a fan bus up to Center Grove ( just South of Indy), but we need to get a head count as an idea to see if there is enough interest before Wednesday, the 5th!
