No Band Performance at Football Game on Aug 12th

The football game vs. Tecumseh on Friday, August 12th is a scrimmage, so the band will not be performing at halftime this Friday.

The first performance will be at the football game next Friday, August 19th. Report time for that game is (at this time) 5pm. Changes will be noted here on the site if that changes.

Marching Shirts are ready to order.

This year’s show shirts are ready to order!

All marching band and color guard members will be provided  (no additional cost to them) with one Princeton Marching Tigers t-shirt, to be worn before and after contests, and at other times designated by the Band/Color guard Directors.

Students may also order additional t-shirts and/or hoodies at their own expense, using the order form they received at rehearsal (click here to download a copy).

Parents, family members, and friends are also encouraged to order an item for themselves to wear to football games, and contests etc. in a show of support for the Princeton Marching Tigers.  The shirt and hoodies are white this year.

Band Camp is Winding Down

Band camp is winding down for the 2011 season. A lot of work has been done installing drill and leaning music for this years show and a lot is yet to be done. The marchers are working hard and that will pay off on the field! Last night was the ‘Light Drill’ where the marchers and guard put down their instruments and flags and replace them with flashlights. Mr. Hyneman turns the field lights off and the band performs their drill with only the flashlights. Not only is it fun but it also shows how much they have learned their drill without the musical cues.

A big THANK YOU to all staff and volunteers this week. Your work is very much appreciated.

Band Camp Starts Next Week!

As we look forward to an exciting season, we are excited to have Band Camp starting next week. Please see below for the lunch menu for students and staff as well as dessert requests from each student. We will also likely be starting fittings next week and will communicate that schedule as we get it organized.

Please also remember all fees need to be paid by band camp. Invoices were sent out last week if you are unsure what you owe. If you have paid in full, thank you! If not, students will not be able to participate in marching band until fees are caught up or unless prior arrangements have been made. Please contact Mr. Hyneman, Tiffany Floyd or Amber May to make arrangements.

Menu and Dessert Help!

Here is the menu for band camp next week. We do request that student help and bring desserts. Please note the dessert days for each student. Desserts need not be homemade, they can also be store bought. (more…)
